Please note that there might be differences in rules for what you can bring on travels in Norway and Sweden.

What you can bring

Travel within Norway

  • Each ticket includes two pieces of luggage in addition to one piece of hand luggage.
  • The maximum dimensions for each piece are 175 cm (height, length, and depth combined).
  • The maximum weight per piece is 23 kg.

Travel in Sweden (or travel to/from Sweden and Denmark)

  • Each ticket includes one piece of luggage in addition to one piece of hand luggage.
  • The combined weight of the luggage must not exceed 25 kg.

Hand luggage is defined as luggage that can fit under the seat or in the overhead compartment.

You can pre-order additional luggage online when purchasing tickets or pay onboard if there is available space.

There are different guidelines between Norwegian and Swedish travel regarding special luggage and other large items. Please contact customer service for any questions.

Bicycles are not permitted as luggage (assembled or disassembled) on most of our bus routes. For those bus routes that allow bicycles as luggage, an option to select a bicycle as additional luggage will be available in the section for add-ons when purchasing tickets at vybuss.com or vy.no/en.

All luggage must be securely packed and clearly labeled with contact information. Travelers are responsible for collecting their own luggage when leaving the bus.

Vy is not liable for any loss or damage caused by other travelers. In the event of a luggage mix-up, our customer service team will do their best to help connect you with the other traveler.
