When traveling with Nettbuss Bus4You and Nettbuss express you need to buy a ticket prior to departure. The ticket can’t be purchased onboard the bus.  A ticket can be purchased through Nettbuss.com, via telephone, via our ticket machines or through any of our resellers. The lowest prices you always find online through Nettbuss.com.

All travelers must have a valid ticket. The travel document must be shown to the driver and retained throughout the journey. When purchasing discounted ticket, age must be validated by valid id, and studies must be valid with valid student cards together with valid id. This must be valid throughout the trip. 

Child 0 – 5 years

Child 6 – 17 years

Youth 18 – 25 years


Adult 26 – 66 years

Senior 67 +
Over the age of 67. Also applies to passengers with a valid "honnørkort" issued by NAV.

Assistants travels for free. Only applies for passengers in need of medical assistance. Valid documentation is needed. 

Valid identification must be sumbitted in case of doubt regarding the right customer category. 

You can buy a student ticket if you are under higher education at a Norwegian college or university. You must be able to present a valid student certificate. Student cards and digital certificates are accepted. Fee for current semester must be paid, and the wafer/receipt for this must be presented.

Students attending high school or secondary school can buy tickets as children (up to 17 years).

For students studying abroad, only ISIC cards are valid as student certificates. Student discount is not given to participants for short-term evening courses or language courses.

Additional services

It is possible to add services when purchasing a ticket online. Services may differ between different lines.

Cancellation insurance
This insurance will allow you to cancel your ticket up to two hours before departure. Please note, buying insurance when logged in as a member will generate a 50% discount on insurance

Extra luggage
In addition to hand luggage, travels can carry up to two luggages per person. If more are needed this can be added. 

Special luggage
Has to be bought when travelling with a bike.
Examples of special luggage can be golf bags, surf boards etc.

Comfort package 
Includes a neck pillow and a blanket.

Seat reservation
On several long distance routes it is possible to reserve a seat.

Commute cards

Commute cards are available for those who travel often on the same route. This means pre-purchased travels with the advantage of knowing the price per trip, which is usually significantly lower than if you pay one trip at a time. We offer several different types of commuter cards in Norway and Sweden. See details in the menus below.

Please note

Booking number
Your booking number has to be with you for the entire travel and you are responsible for ensuring this. You are responsible for choosing the correct itinerary (date, departure time, customer category ), in addition to the correct e-mail address and phone number. You must also be able to display a valid identification for discounted tickets.

Cancellation/ change of ticket
In order to cancel a booking you must have bought cancellation insurance alongside your ticket. It is not possible to add insurance after purchase. 

A change of booking (date, time, category) is not possible. The ticket must be cancelled and rebooked. With insurance you can cancel a booking up to two hours prior to departure.
